Augusta, Ga. (WJBF) – A Richmond County deputy is off the job.

Deputy Travis Clark was allegedly involved in an aggravated assault with Nilkita and Quasia Turner.

Both Turners were taken into custody and charged Tuesday evening.

Now, investigators say Clark was off duty, but acted as a courtesy officer and required law enforcement action.

Reports indicate he consumed alcohol prior to the incident which violates policy.

The Richmond County Sheriff’s Office says this put Clark and others at unnecessary risk.

Also, he is on Probation for another off duty incident involving alcohol, from last year.

Clark has been with the agency since February 2017.
