Power restored in Aiken County after major outage

Aiken, SC –  According to Aiken Electric Cooperative, an accident involving their electric supplier, Santee Cooper, damaged the system causing major outages.

It happened early Thursday morning, April 25.

Crews were dispatched working for hours to resolve the issue.

All power has since been restored.

Customers are asked to alert them, however if you are still experiencing a power outage.

Call or text “out” to their “Lights On” number at 1-877-264-5368, or use their mobile app.
