AUGUSTA, Ga. (WJBF) — (UPDATE) – The Coroner’s Office has released the identity of the pedestrian hit on Gordon Highway.
56-year-old Anna Barrett was pronounced dead on the scene Saturday evening.
One person is dead following an accident in Augusta.
Officials say a pedestrian fatality took place in the 1600 block of Gordon Highway Friday night. “The pedestrian was struck by a vehicle at 2243 hrs and was pronounced dead on the scene at 2315 hrs,” authorities said.
We’re working to learn the victim’s identity from the Coroner’s Office.
