More work for historic Trinity CME Church

An historic Augusta church is now in its new location. 

Trinity CME Church has been moved about 100 yards to its new site to allow the contamination underneath the old spot to be cleaned up.

The Augusta Canal Authority and Atlanta Gas Light covered the $750 thousand dollar cost.

It will take two to three weeks for the church to be placed on its permanent footings.

Then Canal Authority will begin work on finding a new use for the church. as well as community support for funding.
