Lake Forest Hills Elementary to compete in National MathFest Championship

A local team of students is working to bring home the gold in math. 

Students at Lake Forest Hills Elementary school are preparing to compete in the National “MathFest” Championship.

They were selected for the team based on their i-Ready math scores. 

They competed against 5,000 other elementary schools for their spot.

The competition is in Birmingham, Alabama on May 19th.
 
They are led by Assistant Principal Tonya Cogle.
