COLUMBIA COUNTY, Ga. (WJBF) – Keith Cox has been named interim Columbia County Coroner by Probate Judge Alice Padgett.
Cox is a long-time resident of the county. He previously retired from the Columbia County Sheriff’s Office after 30 years.
Cox will serve out the remainder of Vernon Collins term as Coroner. Collins retired on August 7.
Cox will begin duties immediately.
