Grandmother and two children dead in Wrens mobile home fire

A woman and two children are dead after a mobile home fire in Wrens.

According to the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office, around 10:30 Friday morning, the 911 Center received a call for assistance concerning a mobile home fire on the 1600 block of McDonald Court.

Upon their arrival, they discovered that the home was completely engulfed in flames.

Neighbors told first responders that people were probably inside the residence.

After extinguishing enough of the fire to enter, firemen located the bodies of a woman and two young children. 

The coroner says 3-year-old Carson Lamar, 2-year-old Zaydan Johnson and his grandmother 64-year-old Deborah Johnson’s bodies were found in the back of the trailer.

All three victim’s will be transported to the GBI Crime Lab for autopsies.

The investigation into the cause of the fire is still under investigation.
