FORT GORDON, Ga. (WJBF) – The soldiers on Fort Gordon celebrated Thanksgiving with a special guest.

Major General Paul Stanton, Commanding General at Fort Gordon and the U.S. Army Cyber Center of Excellence, can be seen visiting with the soldiers on post as they celebrated the Thanksgiving holiday.

Soldiers enjoyed a traditional Thanksgiving meal, a spokesperson for Fort Gordon tells WJBF, which included ham and turkey, both mashed and sweet potatoes, stuffing, cranberry sauce, pumpkin, pecan pies, and more.

According to the U.S. Army Cyber Center of Excellence, the approximately 5,000 Servicemembers that were fed represent a portion of the over 15,000 service members trained annually on Fort Gordon, including both the U.S. Army Reserve and National Guard.
