A former Aiken County employee has filed a lawsuit against the county and 2 supervisors.

The lawsuit was filed by former Field Supervisor Charles Waylon Fields.

Fields alleges his termination in 2017 was a combined, schemed and planned agenda to blacklist and remove him from his position.

The lengthy allegations included in the lawsuit state current County Administrator Clay Killian upheld the termination, despite Fields receiving glowing employee reviews and no notices of complaints filed against him, as required by county policy.

Former Assistant County Administrator Brian Sanders and Building and Grounds Director Darrin Tanton are named as defendants in the suit, in addition to the county.
