Augusta Fire Crews responded to the scene of a fire at the rectory of St. Mary on The Hill on Monte Sano Avenue, Wednesday.
The call came in just after 8 p.m.
Preliminary reports from witnesses say that lightning struck the parish hall near the church.
Crews are still on scene putting out the flames. Georgia Power is also still on scene.
No word on any injuries.
