The Edgefield County School Board has named Dr. Kevin O’Gorman as the next superintendent of Edgefield County Schools, according to a post on the district’s Facebook page.
Dr. O’Gorman comes to Edgefield County from Berekely County, South Carolina, where he is the Chief Academic Officer for Berkeley County Schools.
He has previously worked in Aiken County as the principal of North Aiken Elementary School and as the Associate Superintendent for Aiken County Schools.
He’s also worked at Blackville Middle School.
There is no word on when Dr. O’Gorman will start his new job.
