Dumpster Pup Trent celebrating 1 year of life

CSRA News

AIKEN, S.C. (WJBF)–  In Aiken, “Dumpster Doggy” Trent is celebrating his one year anniversary of being rescued out of an Augusta dumpster.

He stole many hearts last year when the 3 week-old puppy was found wrapped in bags and covered in maggots. Trent underwent surgery to remove his right eye, but look at him now: He is happier and healthier than ever!

“Turn them in. Find a rescue. Find a new home. Go to social media, but do not throw them away. Do not throw them on the side of the road,” Robin Mitchell, Trent’s mom and founder of ‘Saving the Chain Dogs’ told NewsChannel 6. “Give them a chance.”

Mitchell spends most of her time improving the quality of life for Aiken dogs through her nonprofit “Saving the Chain Dogs.”
