Denmark mayoral runoff race results

DENMARK, S.C. (WJBF) — We now know the results of the runoff mayoral race in Denmark, South Carolina.

Incumbent Gerald Wright received a total of 320 votes. Deanna Miller Berry received a total of 270 votes.

Elections officials say these are unofficial results. The results will be made official on Thursday, February 25 at 10 a.m. at the Kearse Agriculture Building.

AUGUSTA, Ga. (WJBF) -- Soon, the sky above Augusta University Health the Children's Hospital of Georgia (CHOG) will be busy. In partnership with Metro Aviation, the hospital system is launching AU Health AirCare this summer to transport critically-ill patients.

Celebrating Black Excellence

Augusta, Ga (WJBF)- Looking through the lens of history, black excellence is what people of color strived for and continue to define. From the Segregation of schools to “colored water fountains”, the roadblocks set to hinder black people were instead used as a driving force. Margaret Tutt Adams knows those roadblocks all too well as she became the first African American chief probation officer in Columbia county.

Margaret Tutt Adams says "If someone can say that lady made a difference in my life. She changed my whole attitude, she encouraged me to believe in myself and I believe at that point, I will have fulfilled a purpose in God."
