Committee wants operator to continue at The Patch

A private company is ready to tee it again at the Augusta’s Patch Golf Course.

A commission committee has recommended renewing the contract with Cypress Golf Management to operate the club.

Cypress was hired almost five years ago, to take over the tneglected course.

Since then, course conditions and the number of players have improved.

“We had a lot of of support from the city and a lot of different ways they gave us the resources and a little bit of time that we needed to work on it and get it turned around and and we’re excited,” said John Fogel of COO of Cypress Golf Management.

If the full commission approves next week the agreement calls for no increase in the companies three thousand dollars a month operation fee.
