Commissioner sticker shock on mayor’s SUV

CSRA News

Mayor Hardie Davis has a new vehicle but some commissioners are getting sticker shock.

As we exclusively reported, the city has purchased a 2019 Chevy Tahoe for the mayor, at a cost of just over $56,000.

Earlier this month, commissioners rejected the mayor’s request for a larger model SUV  because of the cost.

“Sorry Mayor, I don’t think that’s what we approved. I’m going to wait and comment on it when I get a little more information, said Commissioner John Clarke

“Looks like it’s already done,

“Kind of looks that way doesn’t it? We’ll have to look into that maybe, take the difference out of his budget, said Commissioner Clarke.

Commissioner Marion Williams says he plans to discuss the vehicle at next week’s meeting.
