The Columbia County Chamber of Commerce is starting a new program aimed at helping men who are entering the workforce for the first time.
It’s called, “Young Men on the Move.”
It’s pegged off the chamber’s Young Women on the Way Program. President Tammy Shepherd says the 10-month program, for men just out of college, will focus on key topics to help develop them personally and professionally.
Tammy Shepherd “A lot of these young professionals, their first job is coming straight out of college. So, they lack some of those professional skills that are needed…communication skills, critical thinking skills,” said Shepherd.
Applications must be mailed or dropped off to the Chamber Office.
