City releases information about the park where a 12-year-old died last week

On Thursday, Augusta-Richmond County sent us dozens of documents related to the death of 12-year-old Melquan Robinson who was electrocuted by a fence at Fleming Park last week.

In the packet of information, there are results from inspections dating back to January of 2017 and some from checks that are as recent as September of this year.  There was at least one document specific to Melquan Robinson’s death; however, most of the paperwork is related to park inspections and maintenance.

NewsChannel 6’s Ashley Osborne is digging through the documents sent to our newsroom late Thursday evening. She will have a more in-depth analysis of the information on NewsChannel 6 on Friday.
