40 people displaced after alleged arson on Heritage Circle

Around 40 people are without a home after a massive fire in Augusta.

The fire happened Monday night around 10:30 p.m. on the 3200 block of Heritage Circle off Jackson Road.

Augusta Fire officials say crews rescued 11 people from the third floor of the building by ladder truck.

About 40 people have been displaced by the fire.

Investigators say the fire is being treated as an arson.
