The Aiken County Sheriff’s Office is releasing more details about a vehicle pursuit that put two Aiken County Schools on lockdown Monday morning.
The Sheriff’s Office says a deputy patrolling on Bettis Academy Road spotted a white GMC 2500 Pickup Truck that was reported stolen on December 6th. The deputy attempted a traffic stop on the truck and a chase began through the Graniteville area to Edgefield County on Rainbow Falls Road.
The suspects led deputies back towards the heart of Graniteville where they abandoned the stolen vehicle on a power line right-away between Byrd Elementary and Byrd Adult Learning Center.
The tracking team found and arrested the female suspect, 20 year old Autumn Breanne Angeley in the search area.
Angeley is being held at the Aiken County Detention Center pending the issuance of warrants for Possession of Meth with intent to distribute and Possession of Meth with the intent to distribute within a 1/2 mile of a school. Other charges are forthcoming .
Investigators have identified the second suspect as 39-year-old James Marion Sanders.
Sanders is wanted for Possession of a Stolen Vehicle more than $10,000, Failure to Stop for Blue Light and Reckless Driving.
He’s described as being approximately 175lbs, with brown hair and brown eyes. If anyone has information on this investigation, you are asked to contact the Aiken County Sheriff’s Office at 803-648-6811.

Aiken County investigators have apprehended one suspect and are searching for another following a car chase.
Investigators were in Graniteville searching for a white male suspect in the area behind Byrd Elementary School.
The second suspect, a woman, was apprehended shortly after the chase began.
The suspects fled from a stolen vehicle after a pursuit initiated with Aiken County deputies.
Byrd Elementary, Byrd Adult Learning Center and Levelle McCampbell Middle School were all placed on lockdown for the duration of the search.
No word yet on the status of the second suspect.
