1 killed in Aiken County crash; 2 transported to local hospital

AIKEN COUNTY, S.C. (WJBF) —  The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating following a deadly crash in Aiken County.

Authorities say the incident happened just before 11:30 p.m. on Friday, April 5 on SC 19 near Reynolds Pond Road.

The driver of a 2004 Nisan Altima, Bobbie Dublin, was driving north on SC 19 when he struck the driver of a 2006 Jeep Cherokee. 

Dublin was pronounced dead at the scene. Investigators say he was not wearing a seatbelt.

The driver of the Jeep Cherokee was transported to Augusta University Health with non life-threatening injures.

A passenger in the Nisan was also transported to Augusta University Health with serious injures.
