Meteorologist Jenna Petracci joined the WJBF-TV weather team in March 2021.
Growing up in Villa Rica, GA outside of Atlanta, Jenna is no stranger to the Peach state. In addition to Georgia, Jenna also spent several years living in New Jersey, Texas, and Alabama. Jenna first became fascinated with the weather from the severe outbreaks in the south. That fascination grew once moving around and experiencing everything from winter storms to tropical storms.
Jenna received a B.S. in Meteorology from the University of South Alabama. While at “South,” she also minored in Mathematics and Communication. Jenna was first taught by Alan Sealls, former National Weather Association President and well-known chief meteorologist in Mobile, AL. She was then trained by a talented team of meteorologists during her internship at KPRC in Houston, TX.
In her spare time, Jenna loves to hop in the car and go for a drive. Her goal is to visit all 50 states, and so far, she’s halfway there. She also has an artistic side, and enjoys painting, scrapbooking, and journaling. You’ll see Jenna weekdays on News Channel 6 at Noon, 4PM and during Good Morning Augusta Saturday and Sunday.
