Devin Johnson is Digital Journalist for WJBF NewsChannel 6. He began his journey at WJBF in January of 2018. Before his arrival at Television park, Devin was a pharmacist technician for eight years at CVS and Walgreen’s. He was our reporter intern for summer 2017. He also worked alongside with us as a cameraman for Friday Night Live.
He was also a reporter intern for the sports utility vehicle for a year, covering the top prospects in high school basketball. Followed by being a student ambassador for ESPN.
Devin is an Augusta native. He graduated from Evans High school back in 2010. After high school, he spent his first two years at Georgia Military College majoring in information technology.
In 2013, Devin transferred to Kennesaw State University. He switched his major from IT to communications concentrating in journalism and emerging studies. While at KSU, Devin was a practice player for the basketball team, staff writer for the university’s newspaper and member of Sigma Nu Fraternity for men.
While away from the newsroom, you can find Devin either watching an unhealthy amount of basketball on TV, playing basketball, reading comic books, cooking or doing Pilates.
