Barclay Bishop co-anchors WJBF NewsChannel 6’s ‘Good Morning Augusta’ Monday through Friday.
After graduating from West Virginia University, she began her broadcasting career at WJBF in 2007.
Affectionately known as “BB” around town, Barclay is originally from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and loves the Steel City.
Her love for Augusta is apparent through her work in the community outside of the station.
While Barclay takes great pride in her work at the TV station, she dedicates her personal time to helping those in the CSRA through her service organization “Barclay’s Believers”. Since it was established in 2015, she’s helped raise over $150,000 dollars for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
Her dedication to support the CSRA continues through her involvement with ‘All In Augusta’, Rotary Club of Augusta and Stevens Creek Church.
In addition to serving locally, Barclay enjoys mission work overseas.
Barclay and her husband George, have two young children, Cole and Grace Campbell.
Her journey to parenthood was a difficult one. She has developed a passion for sharing her story in hopes that it may help others struggling with fertility.
