Officials: 2 Georgia firefighters who cheated in class fired

FORSYTH, Ga. (AP) – Authorities say two firefighters in Georgia were fired after they were caught cheating in a fire instructor training class.

The Monroe County Emergency Services announced the terminations in a Facebook post on Wednesday.

Officials say they were notified by instructors from the Georgia Public Safety Training Center on Monday that the firefighters had cheated in the class.

Officials say the names of the terminated firefighters will not be released.
