3 held at knifepoint during Cary home invasion

RALEIGH, N.C. -

A woman reported to Cary police she, her son and grandchild were robbed at knifepoint Monday during a home invasion.

Police said a man knocked on the door of a residence on Windy Peak Loop around 2 p.m. The suspect forced his way into the home when the door was answered.

Police described the suspect as being in his 20s and standing 6 feet tall. He was wearing camouflage shorts, a black shirt and a black hat, police said.

No one was injured in the incident.
