GSU Brings the Noise to Paulson Stadium

Posted: Updated:
A lot of story lines surrounding the Georgia Southern Eagles Football team this fall  The move up to the Sun Belt Conference, a new head coach and an expanded stadium.  You can expect it to be much louder not only at home, but on the road.

The Eagles went through a full speed scrimmage today at Paulson Stadium after the ribbon cutting on their new athletic facility.  Full contact. A lot of great throws, a handful of great runs. The speakers were booming at the stadium the artificial noise was intense.  The players for the most part love it and what they can expect this season.

"Coach put us in tough situations because it's gonna be loud when we go to NC State and Tech, so.  We try to work with the noise.  It helps us with our communication, now that we are in this fast paced offense." says quarterback Favian Upshaw.  "As a defense, we love the noise." adds linebacker Edwin Jackson.  "Because it kinda throws the offense off track.  It's just help in the offense set ready for that intensity every Saturday and Thursday." Meanwhile, Kevin Ellison enjoys it as well. "It does, we'll be in a lot of games, higher level games.  Sun Belt, a lot of crowd noise.  We gotta switch out, maneuver, get ready for all that noise." says Ellison.
