Spartanburg County deputies say they responded to a call of an armed robbery outside an apartment complex early Thursday morning.

Deputies say they got the call around 2:45 am at Campus Edge Apartments on Pinegate Drive in Spartanburg.

Deputies say a man and his wife were robbed at gunpoint by two or three men dressed in dark clothing in the parking lot of the K building of the apartment complex.

They say one of the men pointed a semi-automatic pistol at the woman's head.

Deputies say the suspects took the man's wallet and the woman's purse.

The victims told deputies the men then ran off towards I-585.

If you have any information on what happened, give the Spartanburg County Sheriff's Office a call.
