MC Hammer films new cooking show at Conway restaurant

Posted: Updated:
CONWAY, SC (Press Release) - Stephen Brown of Freshwater Fish Company in Conway is excited to announce his family and restaurant will be featured in July on the Food Network in a new television show called Holy & Hungry, which is hosted by MC Hammer.

The show is about ordained ministers/pastors who also own and operate restaurants. Brown is a longtime Baptist minister who currently leads the Living Word Baptist Church that holds services at 3162 Highway 701 North in Conway. "PB", as he is fondly called, and his family also own and operate Freshwater Fish Company at 4640 Highway 701 North...just north of the city of Conway.

In February Brown received a call from the producers of Holy & Hungry who interviewed him and decided he and his restaurant were perfect for the new show, and on March 16 the production team arrived along with MC Hammer. Hammer attended church while Brown gave a sermon, then visited Freshwater Fish Company and interacted with diners before visiting the kitchen to check out how Brown prepares Catfish Stew, macaroni and cheese and several other dishes.

In early July, Brown received the news that Hungry & Holy will air on the Food Network seven times in July...

July 20 (Premiere) - 10:30 p.m. and 2:30 a.m.

July 23 – 8 p.m. and midnight

July 26 – 7 p.m.

July 27 – 3:30 a.m. and 11:30 p.m.
