The Anderson County Coroner's Office says one person is dead after a rollover accident Saturday.

Anderson City Police say it happened sometime before 6:30 pm in the 2200 block of East River Street in Anderson.

Anderson County Deputy Coroner Don McCown says 23 year old Lathomas Lashawn Turman of Anderson died in the accident.

McCown says he was the rear passenger in the 2000 Chevy Tahoe that rolled over several times.

He says Turman was not wearing a seat belt, was ejected from the SUV and in cardiac arrest when he was transported by EMS to AnMed.

McCown says Turman died on arrival at AnMed from head trauma.

The driver and two other people inside the SUV were taken by EMS to AnMed for minor injuries.

One side of the road was closed off to traffic as investigators worked the scene.

McCown says the accident is still under investigation by Anderson City Police and the Anderson County Coroner's Office.
