Aiken, S.C. -
Giving kids life lessons now so they can tackle them later. That was the focus of the first "Are You Ready to Be Grown? Conference at USC Aiken.
Nearly 200 Middle and High School students took part in several sessions on Saturday.
The sessions ranged from money matters to relationships.
There were even sessions for parents to learn a few things for their families.
"It's been a labor of love and I just pray that somebody, whether it's a parent or student, receive some information that's going to be life changing for the better," said Coordinator and Education Matters Founder Donna Moore Wesby
Wesby says the demand was so large, some people had to be turned away because of capacity.
