"Encounters: U.F.O. Experience," presented by Intergalactic Brands has had more than 40,000 visitors in it's first year in Myrtle Beach. It explores reports of U.F.O.s, alien abductions and encounters with extraterrestrials. It's located at Broadway at the Beach and features seven different galleries of extraterrestrial life.
Much of the information is gathered from the private collections of UFOlogists from around the world. There are displays of original and replica artifacts, as well as documented film clips and recordings that support claims of out-of-this-world encounters.
There are more than 200 replicas and models including ones that relate to the famous Easter Island statues as well as mysteries of Area 51 and Roswell.
It's open April 15th thru May 25th, Monday through Saturday from 11 a.m.until 8 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. until 7 p.m.
There's alien laser tag for kids as well as an alien guts exhibit and the ability to send a message to space.
Some other exhibits include:
Electromagnetic Propelled UFOs: a propulsion exhibit where UFOs are controlled by magnets and visitors
Alien Gods: a guide to ancient history of aliens
Alien Specimens: new life forms have been recovered and are on display
Speaker Series: featuring UFOlogists including special guest Stanton Friedman
