Arrest Made In String Of Aiken County Vehicle Break-Ins

Aiken County, SC - An arrest has been made in connection to a string of vehicle break-ins in Aiken County.

Aiken County Sheriff’s Office deputies, with the assistance of New Ellenton Police Department, have arrested 20-year-old Christopher Griffin.

Deputies were dispatched to a home in the 100 block of Long Creek Drive in Aiken after receiving a tip that Griffin was there. He surrendered to deputies after it was determined that he was in the home.

Griffin was taken to the Aiken County Detention Center where he was booked on one warrant for Breaking into a motor vehicle, 2 warrants for Financial Transaction Card Theft, 3 warrants for Financial Transaction Card Fraud, and two bench warrants.

Sheriff Michael Hunt stated “this arrest is a demonstration of the community and law enforcement working together”.
