Augusta, GA - We have new information concerning Monday's shooting on the campus of Paine College.

At a Tuesday afternoon press conference, Paine College vice-president Brandon Brown said the victim in the shooting, JaJuan Baker, is expected to make a full recovery. We also learned Baker's younger brother is also a Paine College student, but Paine College officials would not confirm or deny if he was involved in Sunday's shooting.

It has been speculated that Monday's shooting suspect, Xavier Cooper, was not a Paine College student, but school officials say that he was enrolled at Paine at the time of the shooting.

Commencement will still be held Sunday, May 11th and finals can be take by students in class or online.

There will be a 10:00 a.m. press conference with the Richmond County Sheriff's Office Wednesday morning at 10:00 a.m.

We will continue to follow this developing story and provide the latest information as it becomes available.
