Augusta, GA -
In just over two weeks voters will be heading to the polls. They have plenty of decisions to make, both nationally and locally. One of the biggest talkers on the ballot is SPLOST or Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax. Mayor Deke Copenhaver is a strong proponent for the tax to pass. He shares with Brad Means, and The Means Report viewers, the importance of SPLOST funding. He also addresses the speculation that the package was rushed through the commission, the reasons Sheriff Richard Roundtree is supporting it, and that funding for the Georgia Regents University Augusta Cancer Center would easily come any other way.
During his visit Mayor Copenhaver also tackles the resurgence of the Reynolds Street Skywalk debate, the possible energy excise tax, the change in election dates, and the candidates that are campaigning for his seat. He gives everyone a hint onto which candidate he thinks should take his spot in January.
