Bikers Ride to Honor Paralyzed Veteran

Posted: Updated:
Augusta - Members of a local biking group are revving their engines to lift a man's spirits.

Chris Allison is an Army and Coast Guard veteran. He was hit by a drunk driver a year ago and as a result of his injuries is now a quadriplegic.
He has been at the Augusta VA hospital since July.

Monday evening, members of the Christian Motorcyclists Association rode to show their support for Allison.

"To have these folks come out here means the world. I'm a long way from where my family's at -ain't got a whole lot of them left- it means a lot to see these faces, and they've come and visited. I know it's meant a lot to my wife."

Good news: Chris is set to go home Tuesday.
