Augusta, GA--Three consecutive hits in the ninth inning pushed the Suns (13-5) past the GreenJackets (11-8), to a 4-3 win, Tuesday night, at Lake Olmstead Stadium. The loss ends the GreenJackets three game winning streak.

The GreenJackets recorded only five hits in the game. Three of those hits were off of Suns starting right hand pitcher, Lucas Giolito (1-0). A 2012 first round draft pick, Giolito gave up three runs in four innings.

The GreenJackets scored their first run in the second inning. Arroyo doubled through the hole to second base. Tyler Horan singled to right field. With runners on first and third, John Polonius flied into a forced out, allowing Arroyo to score. The GreenJackets went up 2-0, in the third, when Giolito walked Devin Harris with the bases loaded.

The team’s final run of the night was recorded in the fourth inning. With Polonius on second, Jeremy Sy tripled to center field. Since Sy joined the GreenJackets, he is batting .250 with one double, one triple and one RBI.

In his fourth outing of the season, Chase Johnson (1-1), pitched five solid innings. He gave up three hits and threw six strikeouts. The GreenJackets relief pitching faced trouble against the Suns.

Hagerstown first scored in the sixth inning. With the bases loaded, Yezzo grounded out allowing Wilmer Difo to score. The Suns scored their second run in the seventh inning. Rafael Bautista doubled to left center field. Difo singled to right field allowing Bautista to score.

It was in the ninth inning that the Suns took the lead and ultimately won the game. With Bautista at first, Issac Balloou tripled to left field. Difo then singled to left center field.
