The South Carolina Highway Patrol says an 11 year old has died after a car crash in Anderson County.

Troopers say it happened around 4:35 p.m. Saturday on Cherry Street Extension, 4 miles south of Pendleton. The Highway Patrol says the female driver and an 8 year old were transported to AnMed. Another passenger, an 11 year old from Central was killed.

The SCHP says the car was traveling south, when the driver lost control of the vehicle in a curve, traveled off the left side of the road, and hit a tree.

7 On Your Side's coverage partners at the Independent Mail report the coroner's office identified the child killed as 11 year old Elijah Coronado. They also report, the driver is listed in fair condition at AnMed.
