Augusta, GA - The Richmond County Sheriff's Office is looking for a suspect, they say, is connected to two robberies.

Saturday morning, at 12:30 a.m., a black male entered the Waffle House located at 3411 Mike Padgett Highway with a blue Wal-Mart bag over his right hand. The suspect reportedly jumped the counter and demanded cash from the register.

Employees handed the suspect an undisclosed amount of cash.

The suspect was last seen running east towards Apple Valley subdivision. The suspect was described as having a light brown complexion, being 5'8"-5'10" tall, and weighing 200-230 pounds, approximately 18- to 30-years-old, wearing a white t-shirt, camouflage shorts, and gray shoes with white soles.

Sunday morning at 2:10 a.m., deputies responded to the Spring gas station located at 3444 Mike Padgett Highway in reference to a robbery of a business.

Deputies learned that a suspect matching the description of the suspect in the Waffle House robbery entered the store with a plastic bag over his right hand and demanded money from the register. The suspect obtained an undisclosed amount of cash and fled the store towards the Apple Valley subdivision. The suspect was wearing a black sleeveless Jacket Daniels shirt, red gym shorts, and what investigators say appears to be the same gray shoes with white soles.

A cash reward is being offered to anyone who provides the identity and location of the suspect. Anyone with information regarding the identity of the suspect is asked to contact the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office at 706-821-1080 or 706-821-1020 during business hours and ask to speak with the on-duty Violent Crimes investigator.
