Athens, GA (AP) - A Georgia church that lost its sanctuary in a fire is returning home a year later.

The congregation of Oconee Street United Methodist Church in Athens will hold Sunday services in its reconstructed education building this weekend.

Pastor Lisa Caine tells the Athens Banner-Herald that members feel like they are going home.

The church has been housed in two other Methodist churches since its sanctuary burned down last April.

The fire was determined to be an accident, and no one was hurt.

The congregation is moving forward with plans to rebuild the sanctuary, and for now members will worship in another building on the church property.
