Augusta, GA -
The excitement that comes with day one of the Masters Tournament was in full swing Thursday morning.
People began lining up before sunrise to get into Augusta National Golf Club.
Everybody wanted to catch a glimpse of the honorary starters: Arnold Palmer, Gary Player, and Jack Nicklaus.
And, if you wanted to get a good sport to see the "Big 3"....you had to get there well before the gates opened!
"I've been here several times. I got to see Arnold Palmer walk up the 18th for the final time...and um, to see all the players be here, it's just great to come back and see them one more time, as long as they're hitting the ceremonial shot," says Bobby Bishop, who was first in line outside the gates of Augusta National Golf Club Thursday morning.
Still competitive, even after all these years, Nicklaus went last and hit a drive that went about a yard past Player's shot.
At the start of the 1960's...the "Big 3" combined to win 7 Green Jackets in a row.
