NASHVILLE, Tenn. -

One person was injured after a truck crashed into a Donelson Waffle House early Thursday morning.

The crash happened around 3 a.m. at the restaurant located at 707 Stewarts Ferry Parkway when Shawn Neely, accidentally accelerated while trying to park.

A customer drinking coffee at the window was hurt while jumping out of the way.  He received minor injuries to his legs and hands, and lacerations from broken glass.

Neely tried to flee before authorities arrived; however, he was unable to get his truck to move backwards.

He told officers he had been drinking at a bar nearby before the crash.

Neely was arrested and now faces DUI related charges.

Repair crews were on the scene, and the restaurant has since reopened.
