ST PETERSBURG, FL (WFLA) - Firefighters quickly put out a fire at the Silver Lakes Mobile Home Park in St. Petersburg early Tuesday morning on 24th Street North. Two residents made it out safe, but a pet chihuahua is missing.

Lealman Fire and St. Petersburg Fire Rescue crews responded to the fire at 7:05 a.m. When they arrived, the single wide mobile home at 4000 24th St. North was engulfed.

Three roommates lived together in the trailer.  Only two of the men were home at the time.  They safely evacuated with their cat, but the dog could not be found.

The Pinellas County Sheriff's Office Arson Unit is investigating.  Lealman Fire Chief K. Larry Thompson says, at this point, the fire appears to be accidental or unintentional.

Nobody was injured in the fire.  The American Red Cross is now assisting the residents with clothes and temporary shelter.
