Darien, GA (WSAV) - Two 18-wheelers collided shortly after 7:30 a.m. Tuesday morning near Darien, Georgia in McIntosh County.

One of the vehicles was transporting cases of beer which spilled along the roadway. The driver of the truck hauling the beer has been identified as 53-year-old Mark Wright, of Knoxville, Tennessee.

Officials say around 7:00 a.m., Wright was traveling northbound on I-95 when he sideswiped another tractor-trailer, driven by 48-year-old Kano Mohamed, of Snellville, Georgia.

Mohamed had reportedly parked his rig on the side of the road when his brakes locked up. A Georgia State Patrol official says Mohamed had put out the correct warning signals to alert motorists. As a result, Wright has been charged with failure to maintain his lane.

Neither driver was seriously hurt.
