TAMPA, FL (WFLA) -

Tampa Bay Buccaneers player Mike Williams is out of the hospital, but not out of the spotlight after a weekend stabbing at his home.

The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office says someone called police at 5 p.m. Sunday to report the stabbing at 17027 Candeleda de Avila; the home Williams is renting in the exclusive Avila community.

Williams was taken by ambulance to St. Joseph's Hospital where he was treated and released.

The Sheriff's Office says while he was at the hospital, Williams told investigators that he was "horsing around" and that he "accidentally fell on a knife" that his brother was holding.

The Sheriff's Office says after interviewing multiple witnesses who were present at the time of the stabbing they determined it was no accident and issued an arrest warrant for Williams brother, Eric Baylor.

Detectives are not saying who was at the home at the time, but says initially they were not cooperative with investigators.

9-1-1 calls released Monday reveal an emotional and chaotic scene from Williams home. The 9-1-1 dispatcher begins the call:

Dispatcher: 9-1-1 what is your emergency?

Caller: I need an ambulance and the police.

Dispatcher: You need an ambulance?

Caller: And the police to Avila.

Dispatcher: What's going on?

Caller: A man just got stabbed by his brother.

In the background of the call you can here confusion and anger from other voices at the home.

The Sheriff's Office says this is their first call for service to the Avila address of Williams, but it is not Williams’ first encounter with trouble there.

Neighbors have complained about loud music and parties at the home in the past.

Avila is one of the Bay Area's wealthiest communities.

Behind the gated walls of Avila are the homes of Vince Naimoli, Lou Piniella, and Fred McGriff. Corporate raider Paul Bilzerian's mansion was also there until he lost it to foreclosure.

After previous problems, Buccaneers Coach Lovie Smith did not seem pleased with Williams off the field behavior.

"There's a pattern here and it's disturbing," said Smith. "No one is bigger than this football team. He has to understand that."

Following the stabbing, the Buccaneers issued this statement:

"We are aware of the situation that occurred at the residence of Mike Williams and are working with him and the authorities to get additional information. While we have limited knowledge at this time, our primary concern is for the safety and well being of all involved. We will refrain from further comment until we can get a better understanding of the situation."

Williams signed a six-year, $40 million extension with the Bucs last year.

The Hillsborough County Sheriff's office says they have tried to contact Baylor, but he was not at the home when they arrived and efforts to reach him since then have been unsuccessful.

A spokesperson for the Sheriff's Office says, "If it really was horse play and an accident, we would have heard from Mr. Baylor by now."
