Homeowners Say Contractors Are Leaving Tree Limbs Behind

Augusta, GA -
Augusta officials say they are 90% done with debris removal.
Crews are still working to remove debris from the southern part of the county. Once those zones are finished, contractors will begin a final pass through the areas that have already been finished.
However, some homeowners who live off Wheeler Road are upset because crews didn't complete the first job in their neighborhood weeks ago.
"If it's 90% done, the 10% is this area. We've had 4 companies on our street. They pick and choose the stack they want to pick up. They pick up from a stack, leave the rest of the stack. I don't know what else to do," Homeowner Cookie Serotta said.
All of the debris is expected to be cleaned up by the end of the month.
If you still have tree limbs in your yard, make sure they're on the curb by Sunday March 23rd so crews can pick them up during the final pass.
