UPDATED ON 6: Suspect In Deadly Aiken County Shooting Arrested, Victim Identified

The Aiken County Coroner's Office is investigating the death of 32-year-old Lacey Parker, of Warrenville.

Parker was pronounced dead at Georgia Regents Medical Center following an early morning shooting in Warrenville, on Pine Street.

A suspect, 46-year-old Todd Brown of Warrenville, has been arrested in connection to Parker's death.

Autopsy is scheduled for Thursday morning in Newberry, South Carolina.

The Aiken County Sheriff’s Office has arrested a suspect in a deadly shooting that occurred Wednesday morning in Warrenville on Pine Street.

Around 7:19 a.m., the Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call about a shooting that occurred at 548 Pine Street where initial responding deputies found a white female in the front yard suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. The victim was transported to Georgia Regents University by Aiken County EMS for emergency treatment where she was later pronounced dead.

Witnesses told the initial responding deputies that the suspect, 46-year-old Todd Brown of Warrenville, kicked in the front door where he got into a verbal and physical fight with the victim, who is said to be his his ex-girlfriend, that later ended outside the home.

A witness reported that they heard shots being fired.

Brown reportedly fled the area prior to deputies arriving on scene.

Investigators have arrested Brown and will be charging him with Murder, Possession of a Firearm during the Commission of a Violent Crime, and Burglary 1st Degree. Brown was transported to the Aiken County Detention Center.

Investigators say this investigation is still ongoing.

One woman is being treated for a gunshot wound after being shot Wednesday morning in Aiken County.

The shooting happened shortly after 7:00 am at 548 Pine Street, in Warrenville.

Authorities have a possible suspect in custody. Right now, a man is being questioned by Aiken County Sheriff's Office investigators.

There is no word yet  on the condition of the victim, who was taken to Georgia Regents Medical Center for treatment.
