Hundreds of bikers made a lot of noise for a special ride Saturday morning.
300-plus bikers hopped on their hogs and revved up their engines for the Kelsi Long Memorial Ride.
Founder Mike Maddox started the annual ride 12 years ago, in honor of his granddaughter.
The event raises money for children with special needs. A cause bikers, like Danny Cason, say they are happy to ride for.
"It feels real good to ride and help the community. A bunch of bikers are very good people and they take care and help the needy that needs help."
So far, the ride has helped raise $90,000 for the Children's Hospital of Georgia. The money is used to buy special equipment for children with special needs.
Mike Maddox was honored with both a Giving Your Best award and the 2013 Jefferson Award by WJBF News Channel 6 and our Giving Your Best sponsors. To see the story, click here.
