GASTON COUNTY, NC - A pastor already convicted of taking indecent liberties with two children is now charged with new crimes at a new church.

In 2001 Cory Moses was pastor at a Fire Baptized Holiness church in Gastonia called Faith Chapel FBH when he was charged with crimes against two 14 year old girls.  Court documents show Moses exposed himself to one girl in the church parking lot and groped another girl at the church.

In 2003 a jury convicted Moses of two counts of taking indecent liberties with a child.  Moses became a registered sex offender in North Carolina.

Now, Moses faces new charges connected to another Fire Baptized Holiness church called New Mount Zion in York SC where he worked as pastor.

A York Police report claims a girl told police Moses exposed himself and threatened her starting in 2009 and says the acts continued until 2013.

Moses mother, Greta Moses, is also a former pastor with Fire Baptized Holiness church of the Americas.  She said it was internal politics and family struggle that led to these latest charges.

“I left and they were not able to get my church,” she said.

Greta Moses said it was impossible for the church organization to not know her son was a registered sex offender because, the first charges happened in an FBH church and because Corey Moses is the son-in-law of the organization’s Presiding Bishop Patrick Frazier.

“He (Frazier) knew. Everyone knew he was a registered sex offender," she said.

Moses is in the York County jail charged with failing to register as a sex offender in South Carolina where he was working.

He is also charged with three counts of assault and two of criminal sexual conduct.

Bishop Frazier was at the center of a Community Watchdog Investigation in December of 2013 when federal tax records showed he was paid as president of a school where the board members were long dead.

The Fuller Normal Industrial Institute is a day care that gets taxpayer money.  Tax documents showed the money was managed by a board of directors.  The 7 On Your Side Investigation showed at least 4 of those board members listed had been dead for years.

Frazier is paid as president of that school and as presiding bishop of the FBH church.

The church is the primary financial sponsor of the school.

Greta Moses said her son left the FBH organization in 2011 and that she was in the process of leaving as well.  She said she thinks the new criminal charges result from “retaliation”.

Calls to Fire Baptized Holiness headquarters in Greenville were not returned.
