John Travolta is speaking out about his flub during the Oscars. Travolta butchered a singer's name while introducing her. "uh-deen-ah men-zelle" performed the academy award-winning song "Let It Go," he released a statement saying, "I've been beating myself up all day. then I thought...what would Idina Menzel say she'd say, let it go, let it go! Idina is incredibly talented and i am so happy frozen took home two Oscars Sunday night!"
Katy Perry tried her hand at forecasting on an Australian morning show. Some of the cities names tripped her up, but Perry told viewers, if they didn't understand her forecast, they could get the weather on their phone. She is in Australia to promote her upcoming world tour.
18 year old, Rachel Canning is accusing her parents of abuse and abandonment. She's also demanding 650-dollars-a week in child support and private school tuition payments. Her parents say the high schooler wouldn't obey their rules, stealing credit cards, staying out late and drinking. The judge sided yesterday with the parents warning of a "slippery slope" when teenagers sue.
He can't leave Russia, but whistleblower Edward Snowden will speak at the South by Southwest Festival in austin texas next week, by teleconference. His topic the N-S-A's spying program and what the tech community can do to defend itself against mass surveillance. Snowden a former CIA employee and NSA contractor fled the U-S last year after leaking details about the government's spy program. He was granted asylum in Russia. Snowden faces felony charges of espionage and theft of government property back in the United States.
