Three People Arrested, 1 Sought After Joint Law Enforcement Investigation In Aiken County

Three people from Aiken have been arrested, and 1 is still sought after a month-long drug investigation in Aiken County.

Friday, the Aiken County Sheriff's Office, in conjunction with Aiken Department of Public Safety, North Augusta Department of Public Safety and members of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms (ATF) RAGE Unit, concluded a month-long investigation resulting in the arrest of the following three people: James Ramond Cave, 37, of Aiken, Rebecca Sapp, 19, of Aiken, and Shaniqua Nicole Powell, 22, of Aiken.

Investigators tell us, a search warrant was executed at a home on Pinecrest Avenue in Aiken, where a quantity of cocaine, marijuana and two firearms were recovered. Two children were present during the operation and released to family members not related to the criminal investigation.

Sheriff Hunt expressed, "Children, drugs and guns are an awful scenario and all law enforcement in Aiken County will continue to seek these thorns in our community. We will shut them down and hold violators accountable."

James Ramond Cave, 37, Aiken, is charged with possession of marijuana, possession with intent to distribute cocaine third offense and possession with intent to distribute cocaine within one-half mile of a school.

Rebecca Sapp, 19, Aiken, is charged with possession with intent to distribute marijuana, possession with intent to distribute marijuana within on-half mile from a school and unlawful conduct towards a child.

Shaniqua Nicole Powell, 22, Aiken, is charged with distribution of marijuana, distribution of marijuana within one-half mile of school, unlawful conduct towards a child (X2), possession with intent to distribute marijuana, possession with intent to distribute within one-half mile of a school, possession of cocaine and operating a stash house.

Investigators are still searching for 31-year-old Byron Keith Miller, of Aiken. He is being sought as a suspect in the case and has active warrants for distribution of marijuana and distribution of marijuana within one-half mile of a school.
